Alert: Fire season declaration, vegetation abatement required
During fire season, weeds, grass, and other noxious vegetation that has been determined to be a fire hazard must be addressed to reduce the potential for fire in accordance with Albany Municipal Code 7.84.160. To report a vegetation fire hazard in Albany, call 541-791-0155. Albany Fire Chief John Bradner declared July 9, 2014, the start of fire season due to ongoing hot, dry weather.

Main Street will be closed to all traffic between First and Fourth Avenues beginning Thursday, August 21, 2014, while construction crews complete paving work on Main Street. A signed detour will be in effect 24-hours a day during the paving operations to route traffic around the construction zone and maintain access to businesses and residents.
Albany Dog Park to close during ATI Northwest Art & Air Festival

The Albany Dog Park will be closed from noon Friday, August 22, 2014 until 5 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2014 during the 15th annual ATI Northwest Art & Air Festival.
Signs are posted at the park to inform users of the temporary closure.

Detour of Main Street

Beginning Monday, July 7, 2014, Main Street will be closed to through traffic between 1st and 4th Avenues to facilitate construction of street improvements on Main Street.
Local access for residents and to businesses will be maintained during the work. A signed detour will be in effect 24 hours a day and will route through traffic around the area.
