Albany Population Increases to 50,710

Official population estimates issued in December 2012 by the Portland State University Population Research Center list Albany, Oregon, with a population of 50,710 as of July 2012. This is an increase of 190 residents over the prior year, and an increase of 552 or 1.15 percent since the 2010 Census count of 50,158.
Draft Vulnerable Populations Emergency Plan available for Public Review

Linn and Benton counties and the City of Albany have completed a joint draft plan to assist vulnerable populations in times of emergency and invite the public to review it and comment.

The City of Albany is reminding those posting political campaign signs and temporary signs promoting special events, charity fund-raisers, and sales that the City's sign code prohibits signs posted in the public right-of-way.
