Bill Mitchell Magic
February 28
When my first son was only about a year old, I would make objects vanish and reappear, much to his delight. By the time he was 3 years old, my technique was no longer sufficient to keep him entertained, so I began a serious study of magic (or, as my wife would call it, an obsession). I was fortunate to live among some of the finest sleight-of-hand artists in the world, and they generously shared their wealth of knowledge, as well as their philosophy of magic. In the past 15 years, I have spent thousands of hours studying and practicing. This mastery of technique allows me to perform with confidence and ease, and also frees me to interact and have fun with my audience. As a professional performer, my job is to make you look good, and a large part of that is treating every guest with respect and kindness. In a cynical and often ho-hum world, I can recreate the simple joy of being amazed. Let me do it for you… just for fun.
